We use multiple tags with the same color. Basically multiple tag groups are color coded that they belong together.

It would be great if the tag text is not collapsed in List View. There is a lot of space there and it would prevent hovering over the tags and memorising them.

For decluttering purposes the tags could still collapse per default but can be extended all the time by a Ul Setting.
