Add context for machine translations
Thomas Albert
Machine translations based solely on the “text to be translated” are not effective. The simplest example would be the translation of “None” or “Unspecified”, which gives different results depending on the target language and genre (None/None etc...).
You should be able to specify a context (example: “as part of a version”) for translations to be relevant. At the moment this tool is not usable for me and I have to do my translations via ChatGPT, which gives very good results.
Since the integration of the OpenAI API is already established, this improvement does not seem very complicated to me to implement.

Hey Thomas Albert!
Français:
Thanks for the feedback! Just to let you know, context is actually already being sent to OpenAI automatically. AI integrations use tags, key descriptions, key names, and even screenshots.
Could you share a specific example of a key where the translation went wrong? We'd love to check it out, see why it missed the context this time, and fix it up.

Thanks for coming back! Just for the record, the context is already automatically sent to OpenAI. AI integrations use tags, key descriptions, key names, and even screenshots.
Can you share with us a concrete example of a key where the translation went wrong? We would love to take a look at it to understand why the context was missed this time and correct that.
